national Freeher campaign

The national FreeHer Campaign is a distributed organizing, deep canvassing, issue advocacy campaign to raise awareness and shift public opinion toward our goal of ending incarceration of women and girls and closing women’s jails and prisons.

The campaign was launched in 2021 to stop new construction of women’s jails and prisons and close existing women’s prisons. We can end incarceration of women and girls and shift investment into creating what different looks like for true public safety, transformation, and healing.
